10 Things Worth Paying More For

With the economy being in such an unpredictable state, and unemployment rates rising constantly, it’s no secret that people are looking for ways to save money.  When shopping, there are some things that are worth the price.  It may be more expensive than the alternative, but the added value is important enough to endure the cost.  B.M.M.O. Consulting will list some items that it truly benefits you to spend the extra money on.

Premium Gas – Some cars require premium gas, and others just recommend it.  If your car requires it, it is very important not to skimp and use regular, you could be doing major damage to your engine and other parts of your car.  If it is only recommended, you might be surprised to find out the difference in the drive and gas mileage change for that additional 10-20 cents on the gallon.  We almost learned about this the hard way, we were told you could switch back and forth, not a good idea.  Choose one or the other, we chose premium and have been happy with the increased drive performance and extended gas mileage.

Quality Purchases – There are several items that offer lifetime guarantees, if you read the fine print and find it to be true, these are the brands you want to stick with.  Some brands that offer and stand by these guarantees are Eddie Bauer, Coach, Jansport, L. L. Bean and Lands End.  Children, and adults for that matter are rough on back backs, send it back to Jansport and they will repair it or send you a new one.

Shoes – Shoes are important.  Ladies sometimes we take on pain for beauty, but if doing so, at least make sure it’s a well made shoe and with time will ease the pain.  Wearing cheap shoes will show over time, the heel will break at the most inopportune time, scuffs will appear and caps will need to be replaced regularly.  Spend the money on a good pair of comfortable and fashionable shoes, you’re worth it!

Clothes - Clothes are a necessity of life.  You wear them often so it makes sense to invest in items that will stand the test of times.  No need in buying clothes that after one wash will be no good, invest in quality pieces that will last.  If you are a frugal shopper, you can save by shopping at thrift stores, just look for trusted brands, you are sure to find some quality clothing pieces.

Home Maintenance - When doing work on your home there may be room for bargaining on the cost, but the cost of materials is where the bargaining should stop.  This is an investment in your home and you want to use supplies that will last you for a long time.  For example, think about insulation, the difference in the beginning costs could mean the difference in heating and cooling charges in the long run.  Spend the extra money, you won't regret it.

We hope that we have informed you on some of the purchases worth splurging on so that you get the best quality out of your money spent.
